Association Meeting & Seminar at Le Bistro Restaurant in Stockton from
11:30-1:30.
Daniel Schroeder will be discussing the Discrimination in the workplace
and the DFEH process. The DFEH is the Department of Fair Employment
and Housing. They are the agency that employees go to when they want to
file a complaint about their employer. After the employee files the
initial complaint, they are interviewed and a complaint is filed,
registered and filed to the employer. You will learn the steps that
the employer must take to follow up and respond to the DFEH.
About the Speaker - Daniel J. Schroeder
Daniel J. Schroeder is a principal with Neumiller & Beardslee. His
practice focuses on commercial loans, complex business litigation,
construction litigation, employment law, entity formation, judicial
foreclosures, underground storage tank litigation, unfair competition, and
eminent domain and inverse condemnation. Mr. Schroeder primarily
represents general contractors, subcontractors, public agencies,
municipalities, and businesses. He recently wrote an Amicus Brief for the
Building Industry Association which had a successful outcome before the
California Supreme Court and obtained a successful outcome on appeal in a
published decision with the Third District Court of Appeal.
