Register now for January's San Joaquin Human Resource Association Meeting & Seminar at Le Bistro Restaurant in Stockton from 11:30-1:30.

Guest Speaker Bruce Sarchet will be presenting a full labor law update to the association at this meeting.   About the presentation...  In 2003 California experienced an avalanche of new employment laws in the months leading up to the recall of the Governor. The impact of those new laws will be felt for years by all Californians.  Human Resources professionals will be on the front lines as these new changes are incorporated into the workplace. This annual seminar will provide an overview of what is new in California for the Human Resources professional, along with practical suggestions for adapting to these revolutionary changes.

 

Highlights will include:  Mandatory Medical Insurance, Paid Family Leave, New "Private Attorney General" penalties and fees, Workers Compensation Reforms, The use of private investigators in internal investigations, and information about how training and policies still help limit liability for sexual harassment?

Tracy Entrepreneurs meeting.  The Tracy Entrepreneurs serve as a support group for local businesses with 3 or fewer employees. The first meeting of the month features a guest speaker to discuss an aspect of business and is held at the Tracy Chamber of Commerce board room.
