Tracy Business Journal

Editorial, continued.

Many businesses cannot accommodate short notice requests for interviews so the quarterly format will give more latitude to work with local businesses on terms that are more agreeable.

While we are moving to become a quarterly publication, we have prepared our last monthly issue with a second article about the war in Iraq.  Last month’s article about the political manipulation of the War on Terror generated a lot of mail that shows that many people are somewhat confused about what is happening in the Middle East and many asked for more clarification.  We have attempted to help in this month’s article by speculating on the true nature of the war.

We also include another excellent article by Kevin Richter of the Tracy Toastmasters speaking club.  Kevin has prepared a series of articles about speaking that we have featured for the last few months.  We hope that Kevin will be able to work with us as we develop our new format as his articles have been very popular.

We include another article on Groupthink.  We featured a similar article that generated a lot of questions from the readers so we decided to revise the earlier article and present it in a different format.  This was taken from the final presentation that we did with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce last month.

We also provide a timely article about some of the problems and opportunities available with wireless internet connections being used in homes and small businesses.  As popular as this inexpensive technology has become, it does present challenges for the uninformed homeowner or small businessperson.  We hope this article helps stimulate people to examine the configuration of their wireless routers.
